SV Naughty Angler is crewed by Graham and Natosha, two lifelong adventurers drawn to the water, the wind, and the freedom of life under sail—alongside Willow, their loyal goldendoodle and resident morale officer. What began as a shared love for the outdoors has grown into a life lived aboard, shaped by changing weather, open horizons, and the steady rhythm of the sea.

The Boat & The Dream
SV Naughty Angler is our 1984 Hunter 34C — a floating home, hands-on project boat, and our ticket to a life shaped by wind, water, and hard-earned lessons. For years, we’ve sailed the waters of Lake Ontario, learning the rhythms of the lake and the boat through real experience. From quiet dockside mornings to challenging crossings, including unforgettable trips through the 1000 Islands, every mile has deepened our respect for sailing and life on the water.
Sailing an older boat means understanding her inside and out. SV Naughty Angler has taught us patience, problem-solving, and self-reliance — skills that can’t be learned from manuals alone. Each season has brought new knowledge, whether it’s reading weather, maintaining systems, or adapting when plans change. The boat has become more than fiberglass and rigging; she’s become part of our daily life and personal journey.
Now we’re stepping into the next chapter by rolling up our sleeves and refitting her ourselves. From building a custom dodger and hardtop to updating the flooring and galley, we’re taking on the projects that transform a good boat into a great one. Every upgrade is done with intention — improving comfort, safety, and independence for long days aboard and future offshore sailing.
Our long-term goal is simple, even if the path isn’t: cast off the lines and sail south toward the Caribbean Islands, one mile, one lesson, and one season at a time. We’re not chasing shortcuts or perfection — just progress, preparation, and the freedom that comes with living intentionally.
Along the way, we share it all. The refits, the sailing, the challenges, and the moments in between. SV Naughty Angler is also the story of how we found each other through tragedy, personal growth, and ultimately destiny. This journey is about more than sailing — it’s about rebuilding, resilience, and choosing a life aligned with what truly matters.

The water has a way of stripping things down to what truly matters, leaving no room for distractions or pretenses.
This journey has been shaped by resilience, survival, and the unexpected ways light finds its way back in. By moments of heartbreak and moments of clarity. By learning to trust the process—both on the water and within ourselves—even when the destination isn’t fully known.
